He greets you in the cutest way,
He hugs your waist when you walk over to him while he is sitting down, and says "I miss you!"
He puts his arms around your shoulder when you walk.
He tugs you closer when going down an empty escalator, just to kiss your forehead.
He gives you a sudden peck on your cheek without warning when sitting alone.
He fondles with your fingers knowing he cant hold your hand in public.
He holds your hand when no one is around.
He always says his goodbye with the sweetest smile while waving his hand.
My question..
When do you categorize yourself as being official with a guy?
Some people take it as holding hands,
For Some the first kiss,
Others the breathtaking question.

for me, holding hands would be enough reason to categorize one as being official with a guy lor...

ReplyDeleteTotally agree with soul232 and tuls. For me, it's official only when both of you verbalize and agree that you are a couple. Even 'i love you' can be simply used at times. So ask and answer the question - "are we officially a couple together?" Other than that, don't assume. Good luck (and update us!!!) ;)
Hahaha yes, I will take it one step further and agree with akaMike (LOL, this is starting to look a LOT like leapfrog...) In the meantime, I am so happy for you!!! Official or not, it sounds like you two are really having a great time enjoying each other's company which is really what this stage of a relationship should be all about. But being "official" is not just a name... or even the things you do to and for each other... it is about realizing an actual commitment it takes to be in a relationship.
ReplyDeleteBeing official, is like saying to someone "yes, I do want to be with you and yes... we are going to try and make this work whatever it takes!" I take "official" very seriously and to me it constitutes a very sacred verbal agreement. For me and Ray, it happened when we sat alone in the car and talked about it. I will never forget that night... it was in the free parking lot of Monash, right next to the bushes... and that's when he promised himself to me. It was amazing because it was so close to my birthday I was convinced that the cosmos had given me the best birthday gift ever!!! And to top that off, that night we saw fireflies!!! In the middle of the city. I will never forget it... my first love, still is, forever will be.
Being official should be something very special in your relationship too. And when you get there, it should be a moment that you will treasure your entire life, and NOT something that just happens because "you've done every other "COUPLE" thing already"

It is true Junior San!!! The moment should be something magical and not just another thing that just happens. That's when you measure (for me at least!) how much you really want to be with the guy and some inkling of how much emotional investment to put in. It's supposed to be like a real special moment la, if it was just "meh" you can pretty much expect it to be like that for most of the relationship.
